The short version

Field Measure is a set of free calculators. The calculators run entirely in your browser — the measurements you type are never transmitted to us, never stored, and never sold. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a mailing list.

What we collect directly

Nothing. There is no contact form, no login, no newsletter signup, and no analytics script on this site. The numbers you enter into a calculator stay on your device and disappear when you close the tab.

Server logs

This site is served by our hosting provider, which keeps standard web server logs. These typically record the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, the referring page, and the browser user-agent string. These logs exist for security and reliability, are not used to build a profile of you, and are not combined with any other data.

Cookies and advertising

This site itself sets no cookies and uses no browser storage.

Where advertising is shown on this site, it is supplied by Google AdSense, and the following applies to those ads:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
• The use of advertising cookies by Google enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may opt out of the use of cookies for personalised advertising by some third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices.

Where advertising is shown to you and consent is required, you will be asked for it before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. Our lawful basis for the limited server logging described above is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we hold no account data, in practice a request to us will usually concern server logs only.

If you are in California

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. See the advertising section above regarding third-party advertising cookies.

Children

This site is aimed at people planning horse facilities and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The calculators cite guidance published by Penn State Extension, Rutgers NJAES, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Those are independent sites with their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be summarised here rather than made quietly.
